Welcome Committee – Ever come to a new school and feel lost? Welcome to the club. The welcome committee will follow-up on new students and their families within one week of registering with Star Charter. We will provide the kids and parents with loads of information about our school and parent group opportunities. If you enjoy meeting new people and making new friends this is the committee for you! Sign up and welcome to Star PTSO.

Teacher Appreciation Committee – Here's your chance to make something wonderful happen for our fabulous teachers. This committee will work together to surprise and delight our wonderful faculty throughout the year. All ideas are welcome and appreciated. 

Volunteers Committee – Star Charter School is full of gifted and talented parents and students. The volunteer committee will maintain an updated list of mentors/volunteers/ tutors that have graciously signed up for the school year. If a teacher needs a volunteer for a Science experiment then they call our committee and we find the volunteer for that day. If a student or parent is in need of a tutor our committee will keep an updated list of paid tutors to fit their needs.

Fundraising Committee- I know the dreaded word, fundraising! Well, someone has to do it and I know there are those out there that are very talented in this arena. We are a new organization and are very open to suggestions and direction. Please come and share your ideas.

Gardening Committee - Our beautiful gardening doesn’t get done by itself, yes we have fantastic, hardworking people who plant, water and nurture Star property. If you enjoy working in the outdoors please join our team of dedicated parents.

Social Committee – The students have suggested having a social committee for Elementary, Middle School and High School. If you would like to help plan social events for these grades please come and join the team. The PTSO would like to organize one social activity per month for each grade. The High School has suggested movie night, bowling night, Starbucks night, etc. The Social committee would also help organize dances, ice cream socials and other fun activities for our school.

Prom/Graduation Committee - This committee will help the junior class prepare and plan for these two events. Do you like working with teenagers? Please come and help plan a beautiful prom and graduation for our senior class.

Service Project Committee - This committee organizes canned food drives and other projects that will help people outside of our Star community.
